PGIM appoints Brian Towers as Global Head of Strategic Partnerships and Insurance

PGIM, Prudential Financial, Inc.’s global asset management arm, has appointed Brian Towers as Head of Strategic Partnerships and Insurance. In this new role, Brian Towers will be responsible for developing integrated investment solutions and building long-term partnerships with insurers, drawing on PGIM’s investment expertise.

Brian Towers will report to Keshav Rajagopalan, Head of the Strategic Capital Group, and will lead PGIM’s global efforts to develop and expand its insurance business. PGIM’s Strategic Capital Group bridges the insurance and asset management businesses and builds strategic partnerships with insurers, reinsurers and institutional investors. The Strategic Capital Group combines investment expertise, structuring know-how and experience in developing substantial capital solutions. Brian Towers will set up a dedicated team to develop solutions tailored to insurers’ complex needs, including transaction engineering, structuring and client service, with the aim of strengthening PGIM’s integrated, global approach to supporting insurers.

Before joining PGIM, Brian Towers was Managing Director at Blackstone, where he was responsible for building and scaling the multi-asset credit platform, including commercial strategy, fundraising and partnerships. Prior to that, he held senior roles at AIG, BlackRock and Invesco. He has nearly 20 years of experience in investment products and distribution.
