The Geneva School of Hotel Management (EHG) has announced an academic partnership with Maison de Caviar Prunier, a globally recognised benchmark in the world of caviar and fine dining. The collaboration aims to bring into the students’ training an area of expertise that remains rarely taught in hotel management programmes: the professional mastery of caviar and its codes.
Since 1914, EHG has built its teaching approach around close exposure to real-world industry practices and the highest standards in the sector. This new partnership will give students a deeper understanding of an emblematic luxury product through an approach that is historical, cultural, technical and operational all at once.
Students training at EHG will therefore benefit from dedicated courses covering, in particular, the history of caviar, its origins, its geopolitical dimension, its quality standards, tasting and service techniques, as well as its positioning in luxury and haute cuisine environments.
The partnership also provides for specialised masterclasses, immersive experiences and the joint development of exclusive educational content between the two institutions.
Beyond passing on product knowledge, this initiative responds to a growing market need: training professionals capable of precisely mastering the codes and standards associated with exceptional products in the luxury space.
“Training the professionals of tomorrow means exposing them to the most demanding realities of our industry. This partnership with Maison de Caviar Prunier will allow our students to develop a rare and distinctive expertise in a field that is emblematic of luxury hospitality,” says Susanne Welle, Director of the Geneva School of Hotel Management.
“Caviar remains a prestige product whose uses, history and codes are still too little understood in the professional world. We are delighted to be able to pass on this knowledge to future generations in hospitality alongside an institution as respected as EHG,” adds Cyril Baron, Managing Director of Caviar House & Prunier (Switzerland).
With this new alliance, the Geneva School of Hotel Management continues to strengthen its position as a benchmark institution in hospitality education aligned with contemporary luxury standards.
