At the time of its 2026 Annual General Meeting, the Institut Supérieur de Formation Bancaire (ISFB) announces the appointment of Mr Xavier Bonna, Managing Partner of the Lombard Odier & Cie SA Group, to its Board, effective 1 June 2026.

The ISFB Board, chaired by Mr Christian Skaanild, Managing Partner of Bordier & Cie, brings together representatives of member banks, involved at the highest level in the management of banking and financial institutions active in French-speaking Switzerland. The ISFB’s General Management is headed by Mr Mathias Baitan. As a professional association, the ISFB offers its members pooled services in training, skills development and human resources.

The return of Lombard Odier & Cie to the ISFB Board is a strong signal for our professional association and for the financial centre of French-speaking Switzerland. It confirms the importance of collective commitment by banks around training, skills development and preparing the professions of tomorrow,” says Christian Skaanild, President of the Institute.

Xavier Bonna said: “I am delighted to join the ISFB Board, whose role is central to the financial centre of French-speaking Switzerland. In a profession where technical expertise remains essential, the quality of the relationship, listening and knowledge transfer make the difference over time. The ISFB contributes precisely to sustaining that standard by connecting banks, practitioners on the ground and the sector’s future needs. It is in that spirit that I wish to serve on its Board.”

With this appointment, the ISFB strengthens its governance and its strategic role among banks and financial institutions in French-speaking Switzerland. The Institute is thus continuing its mission: bringing together industry players around skills development, employability and the preparation of the banking and financial professions of tomorrow.
