Swiss fintech Helvo is launching the beta phase of its embedded finance operating system, designed specifically for Swiss SMEs. Hypothekarbank Lenzburg acts as its banking partner.
Swiss fintech Helvo SA, headquartered in Crissier, is today launching the beta version of a new banking platform aimed at Swiss small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). The platform has been developed over the past few months on the basis of testing and feedback from customers who took part in the alpha phase and operate businesses across Switzerland.
Developed in partnership with Hypothekarbank Lenzburg AG, Helvo is a modern financial software solution connected to a regulated Swiss banking infrastructure, suited to business account opening as well as to companies’ day-to-day financial operations. The platform directly links payments and invoicing with accounting and reporting functions, thereby reducing manual tasks, reconciliation work and administrative complexity.
“Switzerland has one of the most advanced banking sectors in the world, yet many Swiss SMEs still spend several hours a week managing financial administration through disconnected tools, spreadsheets and manual processes,” explains Julien Barbotin-Larrieu, CEO of Helvo.
“For many entrepreneurs, the challenge is not access to financial tools, but the growing complexity of managing multiple separate systems covering banking, invoicing, payments, accounting and reporting. Helvo was created to address that complexity by building a financial operating system for Swiss SMEs, bringing the main financial and banking processes together within a single integrated platform,” he adds.

Helvo was designed from the outset for Swiss SMEs, with workflows, compliance infrastructure and financial tools built around the real operational needs of businesses in Switzerland. Rather than creating yet another financial tool in an already complex environment, Helvo aims to simplify SME financial management by bringing essential operational flows together within a single connected ecosystem.
More than 99% of Swiss companies are SMEs, and they account for around two-thirds of jobs in the country.
“SMEs are the backbone of the Swiss economy, yet many managers still devote valuable time to administrative and financial tasks that add little value to their business,” says Julien Barbotin-Larrieu. “Helvo was designed to give entrepreneurs greater visibility, lower operational burdens and more time to focus on growing their business.”
The Helvo platform beta is open as of today to a limited group of participants across Switzerland. Public access to the platform is scheduled for later in 2026.
